Factors of 40

Factors of 40

If a number does not have a factor besides 1 and itself, it is called prime. Example: 5 have no factors, whole numbers that can be divided by evenly, besides 1 and 5. It is therefore prime.20, and the other hand, the factors 1, 2, 4, 5, 10 and 20. Because it's factors besides 1 and itself (2, 4, 5 and 10), it is not prime.

In number theory, the prime factors of a positive integer are the prime numbers that divide that integer exactly, without leaving a remainder.
